A very common cause for a pet’s dry skin is frequent bathing that removes essential oils.  Bathing your dog or cat is sometimes necessary, this is especially true of dogs, who often roll in all kinds of stinky substances.  Bathing is the only way to remove grease, oil or dirt from your pet’s coat.
