I was very excited to hear about petairways.com Their website proudly states: A Pet Airline where pets fly in the main cabin, NOT in cargo!  Check out their website not only to book a pet flight but for some great pet travel planning tips and articles.  One of the best things about pet airways is not only having your pet travel in a cabin instead of the cargo hold, but the availability of having aircraft staff attend to your pet during the flight.  This is an excellent concept to help with your pet’s potential stress during a flight. Just remember to do your part and prepare your pet for travel long before the actual flight.  Never board an animal with any type of pet skin conditions, especially those that may be contagious.  It is very practical for your pet to have  a vet checkup prior to traveling.  Tell your vet about your travel plans. Aso be sure to tell your vet about a pet that experiences extreme stress or discomfort in this type of situation as they may be able to provide advice or solutions to make it more comfortable for everyone involved.  A vet checkup upon returning from your vacation is not a bad idea either.  Often, a pet can get sick from being in a different climate or they may have an allergic reaction to something in the new environment.  It’s also not uncommon for your pet to pickup fleas or ticks, depending on where your will be staying.
