Because our feline friends groom, lick and possibly rub themselves so often, it may be difficult to tell when there is a hair, coat or skin problem. Perhaps unusual behavior or a change in their routine or habits may be a sign of problems.
Other signs to look for caused by cat skin problemsmay require further investigation, such as checking the skin by pulling the hair back. You are looking for red or dry skin, “hot spots”. Feel your cat’s body for bumps, scabs or sores. Unfortunately it is not uncommon to discover skin conditions until once the occurance of massive hair loss and or sores have already appeared.
